Phil used to sit on the back seat of the school bus with us [slightly] older lot, far too long ago to admit to. So, i’ve been looking forward to his marriage to Lauren for some time, especially as the ceremony took place at St Peters which just happened to be the church where Cathy and i agreed to sign our lives over to each other 🙂 We then moved on to Fawsley Hall for the reception – always a pleasure, never a chore.
Of course, we knew our way to the church, for everyone else, there was bunting.
A real mixture of weather but it couldn’t dampen the mood.
When Lauren and Phil said they had a campervan to take them to and from Fawsley, twice, i was a little worried about timings! There was absolutely no need: this fabulous split-screen gem from Peartree Weddings was flawless in every way. I get hit by ‘gear acquisition syndrome’ every time i see one (and Citroen H vans) and ‘Morris’ here didn’t help!
No photography permitted during the ceremony so enjoy this short interlude with a shot of the engraved wedding bands.
Anna-Marie Johnson superbly serenaded the signing.
The entertainment was also familiar to Lauren and Phil 🙂
All the details were self-made by Lauren – Phil will no doubt like to take the credit for some of them too.
An unannounced helicopter landing in the middle of the group formals. Just as well i’m professional.
I do requests sometimes, even jumping group shots. Once.
The cinema provided entertainment for the little kids and….
…the big kids (sponsored by Peroni™).
This beautiful paper-cut by the über talented Aasen Stephenson gives a clue to the first dance song.
“Thank you so much for the photos, we’ve been looking at them for a few hours now and love them, time for bed now and no doubt we will be looking all day tomorrow too.. Top man for everything you have done for us x”
Apparently there have been some happy tears from family members on seeing the gallery. That’s job satisfaction folks.
So, next step is the wedding album; they are having some trouble narrowing down the shots to use (this is only some of them) mwahahahaha 🙂
