Nipped over to Cambridgeshire for the marriage of Pippa and Joe at Abington Pigotts church and then on to the gorgeous South Farm: a superb venue, close to perfect. Here’s a selection from the day.

Show off!

What happened in Vegas stays in Vegas. Fortunately, Sam and Dave managed to bring back their marriage certificate and held a wedding reception in the not dissimilar surroundings of the Hunsbury Hill Centre. Here are a few from the evening:

What is a photographer to do when stood in a moonlit car park and the couple say, “What about a shot with Dad’s car?”. Well, light it!

We also had a few requests for night group shots. Not a problem. You want to a double monkey, no problem

And Dave, as you know, we’ll always have the mound, let’s just leave it as something special

Dodmoor House was the place to be for the marriage of Nathalie and Mark. It’s a fantastic venue – don’t delay to avoid disappointment – that even the damp British summer couldn’t affect. En fait, il pleuvait comme une vache qui pisse! We had surprises galore, several songs, a game of Mr. & Mrs. and there was entente cordiale all over the place as half the assembled guests were French (see above for some bad French). D’accord, allons y!

Nathalie’s sister arranged a surprise slideshow which got some great reactions.

This was Mark’s reaction to a pic of him in a Hooters bar… apparently, i didn’t look.

It’s a charming French tradition that the bride has a waltz with her father before the first dance.

We were back to Harrowden Hall for the marriage of Tracey and Paul. The day was chock full of emotion and humour, plenty of humour

Great Harrowden also did its best to better the weather of Hawaii – the honeymoon destination – although it couldn’t deliver on the wild dolphin front.

Fetch the guitar…

“Trraaaayseee” still ringing in my ears! How do you follow that?

As you can see Tracey was exceptionally elegant in her dress..

… but a simple change of shoes allows refinement to transform into rowdy

Finally Spinal Tap fans, Paul’s guitar even went to 11:

[Update]: direct from Hawaii, the happy couple are “chuffed to bits” with the pics. Yay!!

Whilst i was floundering up and down the local pool in preparation for a triathlon, Cathy had an interesting visitor at home.
Now, it would be normal to think the worst when i came back to discover she had received: a bunch of flowers; a bottle of something fruity from Spain; a card; and a tube of Cadbury’s Mini-Eggs!
This however, was a wonderful gesture of thanks from Caroline & Rob after delivering their album at the weekend (which i’ll be blogging some pics of when i get the chance):

“Thank you very much for our wedding album… we absolutely love it and it will be visiting a lot of people soon”. I hasten to add there was a full bunch of flowers and more than 3 mini-eggs – i only ate some of those items – they’re reduced in the pic for artistic impression darling.
They have also penned a fantastic testimonial. We’ve received a number of these and we treasure them all; pressies deserve special mention though! It’s ok to eat mini-eggs before bed right? Carbohydrates are good for training… definitely…

We had the pleasure of attending the marriage of Amanda and Neal at St Mary’s Church in Rushden and then at Kettering Park Hotel. It was a great day: brilliant sunshine (although photographers prefer cloudy
The schedule went completely out the window, but a big thank-you to Trevor for ushing superbly, when he eventually overcame Rushden’s one-way system!
Here’s a taste of the day:

Safe to describe our day as wet at The Falcon Inn, Castle Ashby for the marriage of Anna & Jamie. Nonetheless it was still great fun, even if the schedule had to go out the window to fit in all the cloud-burst dodging. We only got ten minutes for portraits of the happy couple; we still got some special shots and they were an even happier couple when they got back to drinking earlier than expected! We always bring umbrellas for the bride and groom just in case. Unfortunately, we always seems to forget ourselves
Just as well we had a large reflector to shelter under.
Nervous anticipation:

Caution Children Playing

This wedding was also a chance to get out the Holga and Polaroid for something a little different with film:

The end of the month will see us back down in sunny [sic] Cardiff with Emma & Jason.

Super windy day for the marriage of Laura & Luke. The atmosphere was just right, plus one of the better Best Man’s speeches too.
We got free reign in the ceremony, but i don’t like to be too obvious: stuck on the long lens and hide in the corner
Keeping it together:
